For the past several years Whitney has been working with photographer/model Jennifer Reynolds. Her unique and beautiful figurative photgraphs are the inspiration for many of his paintings. Judith Reeve is a supremely gifted artist , draftsman, and a brilliant colorist. Whit, Jan and Judith were fellow classmates at the Lyme Academy of Art. Judith has thoroughly researched early 20th Century color theories especially that of American artist Robert Henri. The practical application of these theories permeates her color-filled paintings. To our knowledge, no other artist understands and employs these color theories. Currently on the faculty at the Woodstock School of Art in Woodstock, New York, her workshops give her students an opportunity to learn and apply this unique approach to color.

Jan is a member of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators, the American Society of Botanical Artists and the Connecticut Botanical Society.

Founded at the Smithsonian Institution in 1968, the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators has grown to become part of the global community. It is a non-profit organization that sets high professional standards, provides opportunities for professional and scholarly development, encourages and assists member networking, and promotes itself to potential clients and the general public.
